shewing that they have no authority over their subjects in spiritual things; but that Jesus alone is King in his Church, God having made him both Lord and Christ: and that neither popes, prelates, nor priests have any thing to do to prescribe creeds, or make demands upon mankind; but that all religion ought to be free, and neither forced nor hindered : also Dagon fallen before the ark of God: or, The inventions of men not able to stand before the first commandment, Thou shalt have no other Gods but me

The third edition. With the case of the seventh day Sabbath-keepers consider'd, as intended to be laid before the Parliament, that all such may have the liberty to work six days at their honest vocations, and rest the seventh day ... To which is now added, The vanity and improbability of expecting that any good Jews should ever be brought over to the pretended Christian religion, as it is now profess'd by all the establish'd churches in Europe; shewing that Christianity, in its primitive purity, was quite the reverse to what is call'd by that name at this day.
