This is a very good first-hand account of a pilot's experiences and thoughts, initially in an observation Farman at Verdun, and then in SPAD machines over the Champagne and in Belgium. A must for World War 1 aircraft enthusiasts. Has been republished in later editions and also in an English language edition.
