Se comentan elementos técnicos relacionados con las dos partes más importantes de la fotografía digital: la parte óptica y la parte tecnológica. El segundo, tercero y cuarto bloque son un todo continuo, articulado en torno a la idea de flujo de trabajo en creación audiovisual: preproducción, producción y postproducción. En cada una de estas fases se incluyen nociones usuales en cualquier manual de fotografía clásico: exposición fotográfica, procedimiento fotográfico, teoría del color, revelado fotográfico o la preparación de ficheros.
